Swimming Success

Over the last few months, Veronica (Y6) has continued her upward progress in her swimming results.

At the age of 10 back in January, in the middle of her 11+ exams, she competed in the Middlesex county championships in the U10/11 age group and not only won an amazing tally of 11 medals ( 6 golds, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes ) but was also awarded the Junior Wilkinson Sword trophy for the overall best swimmer in the county for her age group.

She followed this up with even better achievements at the London Regional Finals in May where she participated in the U11/12-year-old category and still managed to get 3 silver medals in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke. Veronica sadly, will soon be finishing her time at Glendower but she hopes her results not only for her club, but also in school competitions will inspire all Glendower swimmers to achieve the same or better and thus help Glendower carry on with its tradition of excellent results in swimming

Very well done Veronica, this is a fantastic achievement and we wish you all the best in all your up-coming events.
