London to Cambridge Cycling Challenge

2020-09-03

This Summer, my Dad and I had planned to do a challenge to try and cycle from London to Paris. Unfortunately, because of the quarantine imposed in France, I was not able to do that, which was a shame. But, with another Dad and his son, we decided to do the same distance in the UK (360k) by cycling from London to Henley, then on to Oxford, Milton Keynes and then our last destination – Cambridge.

It took four days. Everyday we cycled from about 8:30am until 7:00pm in the evening and it was tough! On the first day we did 100k, on the second day we did around 75k, then 80k, and on the last day we did 100k!

The hardest day was the second day – cycling up hills in the rain and the storms, but it felt so good arriving at a new place at the end of each day and having a hot shower!

We arrived back home from Cambridge on Monday night. It was really fun; my legs are still aching, but it was worth it!
