House Drama Competition

Glendower girls enjoyed watching the finals of our first ever HOUSE DRAMA COMPETITION!

Interested girls were asked to form groups and given an excerpt from a Roald Dahl play to perform. This competition was greeted with enthusiasm and we had several entries per house. This task required the girls to work independently of an adult, arranging their own rehearsal times and collaborating on how to stage their performance. The groups performed during their house meetings and votes were cast to select one performance to go through to the finals. The performances were full of humour with some great characterisation and lovely theatrical ideas. Well done girls for your impressive efforts, your performances were a delight to watch! The

Keira and Anya

GORDON – Fantastic Mr Fox performed by Lilah, Beth, Aarika and Arabella

MARLBOROUGH – James and the Giant Peach performed by Coco, Bethany, Ottolina, Chiara and Shireen

Congratulations to Marlborough who won on the day! Our judges, Mrs Kingsmill-Moore and Mrs Maher, thoroughly enjoyed the performances and found it difficult to choose a winner!
