Westminster Abbey Performance

It gives me great pride to share that my dance institution (Arunima Kumar dance company) was selected to represent India and we performed an Indian classical dance at The Westminster Abbey altar on the 16 th of February 2018 at 11.30am as part of the Commonwealth celebrations.

This is an extremely rare and prestigious honour as performances are usually done outside or around the abbey or at the cloisters . We were given the honour to perform inside the abbey at the altar, a beautiful and memorable experience.

Some of my students who performed are from Glendower – Aishwarya (Reception), Ahaana (Year 1), Raahi (Year 1), Shireen (Year2) and they demonstrated confidence , grace and high standards of dance technique. The performance was extremely successful and was viewed by over 500 people at the Abbey during a very special service. Congratulations girls!
