From an early age, we teach that every one of us can make a difference to the lives of others. All faiths teach that there is an incumbent duty to take on the responsibility of caring for and supporting those in difficult circumstances, whatever they may be. We provide opportunities for our pupils to understand and appreciate the challenging circumstances in which people find themselves. As a result, our pupils gain an understanding of the ethos of ‘giving back’, enhancing the lives of others through their own efforts.
Each year a charity (or charities) is chosen for the school to support. One of these is TreeHouse School, a school for autistic children in North London, which we have supported for many years. Other charities have included The William Wilberforce Trust and the North Paddington Food Bank.
In addition each school house team is linked to a local Kensington and Chelsea Charity and organises an annual fund raiser.
