Spotlight on Glendower’s Theatrical Talent

The academic year 2024 to 2025 brought another fabulous round of Glendower Musical Theatre, with each of our Prep year groups taking to the stage with creativity, energy, and flair.

Year 3 delighted audiences with 1920’s style Silent Movies, a playful exploration of expression and humour told entirely without words. Their charming performances captured the magic of storytelling through movement and imagination.

Year 4 brought colour and rhythm to the stage with a lively retelling of The Jungle Book. Complete with jazzy costumes and spirited songs, their production transported us straight into the heart of the jungle.

Year 5 impressed with their biblical Mystery Plays, blending medieval history and drama in thought-provoking performances that showcased talent, enthusiasm and a surprise performance of ‘Walk Like and Egyptian’.

Finally, Year 6 closed the year with a spectacular dive ‘Under the Sea’ in their rendition of The Little Mermaid. With dazzling costumes, uplifting music, and plenty of sparkle, the girls brought this much-loved story to life with confidence and joy. We were particularly bewitched by the outstanding performances of Ursula by Isla and Honor – pun intended!

Each performance was a celebration of hard work, teamwork, and imagination – a testament to the girls’ dedication and the guidance of their teachers. However, Drama and Music at Glendower are about far more than performance – they create a space where girls grow in confidence, creativity, and collaboration. These are the skills that empower their voices, on stage and beyond!
