Glendower was the only all girls school to reach the finals in the Science Quiz Club competition and came 3rd nationally! Go Glendower!
"On the 3rd March, Aneira, Sasha, Héloïse and Josefina went to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, to compete in the national finals of the Science Quiz Club against 11 other teams from across the UK.
After taking a small tour around the museum we made our way into the hall. We got ready and started the quiz…We took the lead, a good start but sadly we lost towards the middle of the quiz. When we got to the final round, we started rising through the ranks until we ended 3rd. We were really happy to find out we came 3rd in the whole of UK but knowing that no girls beat us we were even happier to know that we were the best female scientists! Afterwards Heloise’s Mum’s niece kindly gave us a tour of Keble College where she has been studying for a year which we know everybody enjoyed.
Thank you Mr Palmer, Mrs Walker and all the mums who accompanied us, we really enjoyed experience!"
