Charities
From an early age, we teach that everyone of us can make a difference to the lives of others. All faiths teach that there is an incumbent duty to take on the responsibility of caring for and supporting those in difficult circumstances-whatever these circumstances may be and however these have come about. We provide many opportunities for our pupils to learn, to understand and to appreciate the many different circumstances in which people find themselves. As a result, our pupils gradually gain an understanding of the ethos of "giving back" in such a way as to enhance the lives of others through their own efforts.
We currently support the TreeHouse, a school for autistic children in North London, The Helen and Douglas House Hospice in Oxford, and have been raising money for the building of a primary school in Malawi where one of our teachers has also run a teacher training course.
In the past we have also purchased and sponsored Charlie, a black Labrador puppy who is now a Guide Dog for a blind person, The Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children (where one of our former pupils received prolonged care) and Dr. Barnardo's, amongst other charities.
