Instrumental Tuition at Glendower:

All our pupils are given the opportunity to learn an instrument from Year 2 onwards. Individual lessons are held during the school day and times are rotated to ensure that girls do not miss important academic curriculum lessons. Girls are able to choose from a variety of instruments including piano, violin, clarinet, flute, recorder and of course the voice.

All of the instrumental staff are professionally trained musicians and are dedicated to helping develop each pupil's musical potential. No attempt is made to disguise the connection between practice and progress. Diligent pupils go on to sit ABRSM instrumental exams, and, in the case of vocalists, Music Theatre Examinations. The pupils achieve excellent results; violin and piano also enjoy good rates of success at examination level.

Parents are expected to encourage regular contact with the chosen instrument.
