Extra Curricular Activities

Glendower is a hive of activity on some mornings before school and after 4 o'clock as the girls follow a wide range of extra activities. These vary from term to term and also depend on the special expertise which individual teachers have to offer.

Art, choir, drama, netball and swimming are clubs which continue throughout the year and are always a very popular choice for the girls.

The Chelsea Ballet School comes to Glendower on a Tuesday evening to run classes for the younger children.

We also offer mini Bridge, chess, dance (Scottish and modern), German, maths, science, and outdoor activities.

Mandarin has been allocated time to the Year 6 curriculum in the summer but it has operated as a club in the autumn and spring terms.

An instrumental ensemble is fitted into a lunch break and our School Council meets every Tuesday before school.

Homework club takes place every evening from 4 to 5 o'clock and is supervised by a member of the teaching staff.

In the Lower School a teachers' assistant runs a Sisters' Club from 3.30pm to 4pm for the sisters of the Upper school. The children are engaged in an activity and this allows their parents to collect siblings at the same time.
